Sequence

Sequence is an advanced feature that enhances strategic communication by allowing brands to customize the order and timing of Business Messaging across different notification channels. With this feature, you can precisely control the sequence of messages, specifying which channels are used, the order of messaging, and the conditions under which each message is sent.

By leveraging Sequence, brands can effectively tailor their communication strategies to meet targeted goals, optimizing engagement and efficiency.


Why use Sequence?

You can now design sequences using our multiple channels, tailoring the behavior for each step and channel. Customize messaging to achieve specific objectives, such as reducing costs or increasing open rates.

For instance, a brand might initiate its Sequence with cost-effective channels like in-app or feed notifications, then fallback to more costly channels such as SMS or KakaoTalk only when necessary.

Sequences enhance deliverability by allowing brands to selectively choose the most effective channels based on individual user interactions and responses, rather than indiscriminately broadcasting across all channels.


How it works

You must have at least more than one channel created in order to use Sequence. You can set sequences and conditions when creating your template.

  1. Navigate to Business Messaging > Templates and click Create template+ button.
  2. Select multiple channel types under Channels to apply sequencing for this template.
  3. You should see all your selected channels under Sequence settings panel in the very right column of the page.
  4. To enable the Sequence feature, click the toggle button to set it to ON.
  5. You can easily rearrange channels within each step of the sequence using a drag-and-drop interface.
  6. You can configure a stop condition and timing for each channel at every step of the sequence.
