Drive growth and reduce costs with omnichannel business messaging

Hi friends,

The recent development of COVID-19 has impacted our society disrupting the livelihood of individuals, families, and our communities. Our thoughts are with anyone impacted and we are deeply grateful for those who are protecting our community and fighting the virus from the front lines. To ensure that we stay true to our core values of endless tenacity for customers, we at Sendbird have been proactively putting measures to protect our customers and our employees.

We recognize that the reliability of our service is critical, especially in these times, when industries that require digital communications, food deliveries, and healthcare are becoming ever more important to people around the world.

In this challenging period, your business continuity is of top priority to us. I want to personally reach out to you and share with you some of the company-wide programs we’ve rolled out to ensure our service continuity and active responsibility in the community:

  • Follow Official Guidelines: We are closely monitoring updates and guidelines from the World Health Organization (WHO), Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and local health departments. Our global offices are strictly adhering to the strongest recommendations.
  • Work from Home and Travel Restrictions: Our offices across the globe have transitioned to fully virtual operations and the entire workforce are required to work from home. We have also suspended all business travel, and only essential travel is allowed for the items permitted by the government.
  • Business Continuity: While working remotely, our team has the necessary equipment and secure connectivity, and we have been able to continue to provide reliable and consistent services for our customers. We have a comprehensive Business Continuity Plan to guide us.
  • Helping the Society: At the center of our company’s purpose is a commitment to global citizenship and corporate integrity. We will be extending our company-wide employee benefit program to enable our team members to support the community during this time by making contributions to No Kid Hungry or Give2SF. In addition to this, employees have two days of paid leave to volunteer their time where appropriate.

Thank you for our continued partnership with Sendbird and we sincerely hope your business, employees, and customers stay healthy and safe.

We will continue to monitor the situation to enable us to make any additional plans or changes as needed. Should you have any concerns or questions, please reach out to us through any of our regular channels, your Sendbird representative or myself.

Thank you, and we are here to support you throughout this journey all the way.

Warmest Regards,

John S. Kim
