Salams is a dedicated Muslim marriage app that offers a dating platform tailored to its users' values and preferences. Salams' Firebase chat implementation runs into limitations
Initially, Salams used Firebase as its chat service, which sufficed when the user base was small. However, issues with dropped messages, limited functionalities, and lack of reliability surfaced as the app scaled. Salams transitioned away from Firebase using the Sendbird chat SDK and platform to address their scaling and functionality needs. The integration was straightforward, providing stability and a wealth of chat features such as presence indicator, read receipts, url previews, etc. that Salams’s original solution couldn’t match.
